“It’s an honor to have the opportunity to design the golf course at Soleta Golf Club,” said Hall of Fame golfer and architect Nick Price.
“We’re part of a great team assembled to create a special place for golfers to play golf, spend time with friends and have fun. The property has wetlands, uplands, open grassland and some great trees. We’ve laid out the golf course to take advantage and incorporate those natural features into the design of holes. I am also really happy that no wetlands have been impacted or eliminated anywhere on the property. These natural elements will be part of what gives the golf course its natural look and feel, which is inherent to the Myakka area.”
“I am very excited to be involved with the Soleta Golf Club project,” stated David Leadbetter. “I really feel it has tremendous potential to be one of the country’s leading new private clubs. The thing I am most pleased about is that we are designing a world-class practice facility which is something I always have wanted to do. This state-of-the-art practice facility or ‘field of dreams,’ as I like to call it, will be comprised of extensive long game, short game and on course situations with all the latest technology to improve performance.
We want Soleta Golf Club to be known not only for its great golf course but also for its phenomenal practice complex.”
Planning and permitting is underway to build Soleta Golf Club, the premier private, family-forward, residential club community in the greater Sarasota area.

We understand you may have reservations about Soleta Golf Club’s impact on the area’s landscape. It’s important to understand that preserving and protecting the area’s natural surroundings has been of utmost importance from the very beginning.
The project will be environmentally sensitive and will conserve ~130 acres, in addition to the open space of the golf course, including all wetlands, wetland habitat, and land adjacent to the Myakka River. All flora and fauna will be managed consistent with the extensive requirements of Manatee County, State of Florida, and relevant federal agencies’ codes and ordinances based on a recently completed field survey and research of available databases for documented listed species presence.
The project will respect the rural nature of east Manatee County with low clustered gross density of less than one home per five acres, native-landscaped buffers, and significant setbacks from all public roads.
The vision for Soleta Golf CLub is to be the first premier and exclusive family golf & country club community in the greater Sarasota marketplace with an emphasis on delivering a family experience and a dedication to comfortable and quality standards in the facilities, amenities, and social programming.
